Would it be possible for the post office to forward my mail from my old mail box?

I evacuated Louisiana with Hurrican Gustav and came to Austin Texas. However, I’m going to stay out here, and I’ve submitted a change of address, but I still need my mail that was delivered before the form got turned in. Does this sound like a possibility?

Yes, you already filled out the change of address form, so that’s good. They should deliver all your mail from here on out to your new address. They should also retrieve your mail from your old address and forward it as well. To make sure though, you could always contact the post office and have them make sure they pick up the mail from your old address.
