How long before they get back to me about a job?
well im 15 and was looking for weekend work and put in CV in a few places. Some said they’d get back to me when jobs are avaliable but some for instance primark and madhouse said they had jobs. I handed them in 3 weeks ago ish

It’s important to have a great resume, it is worth taking the time to create something that looks fantastic and does the job properly. The site in the box below has a lot of data on resumes and guidance with other careers.

With te economy the way it is there are so many people looking for jobs, normally if you have not heard anything within 3 weeks it tends to mean you have been unsuccessful. Your age will not go for you at the moment as most places cant take on under 16 some under 18 for insurance purposes. I would suggest following up applications. Give them a quick call and see if there has been any progress on your application. If will show that you are keen.

sometimes they just say that and never do anything, go back to the places you most want to work at…and talk with them more, show you are interested….

to be honest, with the amount of people looking for few jobs at present, it could be months or indeed never before you hear back.

You have done what you can and handed your CV in and all you can do is wait I’m afraid !
