Was there public knowledge that the World Trade Center's were going to be bombed before the attack?
I’m just watching an episode of Law and Order and the main character is saying how the world is terrible; someone always tries to steal her pocketbook when she goes to the store, she saw a fourteen year old kid slice another kids throat for some dope, people are making threats on the World Trade Center.
The episode was made in 1995. I was about three years old at the time so I have no idea what was happening, did everyone know it was a possibility?
Okay I’m not a total moron, I just wanted to know if the trade centers had been threatened before.. No need to be a jerk about it.
The WTC was also bombed in 1993, by a truck bomb. Only 6 people died, and the towers didn’t fall, so obviously it didn’t get the same attention.

The World Trade Center was receiving sabotage threats from Middle Eastern terrorists as far back as 1985 and was bombed the first time in 1993.
It was definitely a possibility, and those of us who worked there in 1993 certainly expected that another attempt was likely at some point. Some people I worked with did not come back after 1993 because they believed the next time, the terrorists would take the buildings down. And they can say "I told you so".

What should I do in this situation?
I have been hanging out with this guy for quite some time now and I definitely I like him. I am trying to read the signs and signals that he is giving, sometimes it seems as though there could be something more, and sometimes it seems as though he treats me just as a friend. I was fine with just being friends for now.
The other night we went out to a bar and at the end of the night, we ended up back at his place and he kissed me. We ended up making out for awhile and we practically made it to third base, but then we stopped and he was like "Oh wow, what just happened? I usually don’t do this". Out of reflex, I apologized and he said not to and that he was the one who started it. And so I asked if he wanted me to leave, and he said no, I could stay if I wanted to. (I have crashed at his place a few
times now, just as friends of course) I was definitely confused here, is this rejection? Or is he just trying to show restraint?
I then was talking to one of his friends the next day and said that I might like him, and his friend told me how he thinks that he likes my other friend. And I asked why he thinks that, and he said that the last weekend when we went out, the four of us, and apparently at one point in the night, my friend told the guy I liked that she thought he was cute and kissed his neck and he then proceeded
to kiss her.
My issue here is that this was the first time that they met, while me and the guy have been hanging out for a really long time now, and my girl-friend knew that I liked him and she came along that night to help me observe and try to decode the signs, so I just don’t understand what happened here? True, we all did have quite a bit to drink and were pretty intoxicated (and she has a record
of being a slutty/whorry drunk (she even calls herself this, so this is not a bash against her cuz i’m upset))
I was pretty upset when I found this out, our mutual friend who told me doesn’t know that we made out the night before, b/c if he did i’m sure he wouldnt’ of told me about it. But I was sad and hurt at first, then angry and mad, and now I’m just confused…
A part of me says "Screw you!" for makin out with me when you kissed my friend last weekend, and the other part of me gives him the benefit of the doubt and wonders if last week was just a drunken act of stupidity and that what happened between the two of us really could be somethin?

My Parrot has bonded with my pup and hates me , behaviour advice needed please?
I have a 5 yr old green amazon, i inherited him off a friend,After a few months of hard work he bonded with me, flashes his eyes, puffs his feathers, climbs on my shoulder and was in love with me, hated my husband, he copies most things i say and has a great vocal range of words for a young bird!
Then i got another dog, i put its crate next to parrots cage, within days he was mimicking the pups crying, wimpering, i noticed he was turning aggressive towards me, so i moved the crate into another room as he was bonding with the pup!
Around xmas i let the parrot out to clean his cage, the pup was next to the cage and stared licking me, the parrot stormed down the side of the cage and bit the dog! About 10 mins after i sat on the settee, the pup came over to me, the parrot flew to me on my shoulder, i was a bit apprehensive as he had been off with me, he then lent in and bit my cheeck, making it bleed!
So last week my friend/house sitter came round he was helping me clean his cage out, the parrot displayed all the usual affection to my house sitter that he use to with me sat on his shoulder, letting him stroke him! when i went near he just lunged to attack me! He makes this strange tweet noise when i go near him!
The next day i had let the parrot out and was sat next to him on the settee, again pup jumped up lickin my face, parrot goes mad climbs down and bites me drawing blood!
He is jealous of me and the pup but now completley hates me! Even if the dog is not in the room he just lunges to bite me, I am gutted as i see little piont in keeping a bird that attacks me and i get no pleasure from! I dont want to get rid of him but need some advise on how to bring him round! I will not get rid of the dog and really cant see any way to resolve this, any advise on how to help this situation would be appreciated, thanks.
